Dewey and his dad go treasure hunting and find a treasure, but Dewey also finds out his is more valuable to his parents than the expensive treasure.

Dewey spends the day with Grandma and Grandpa and we see all the ways they make him feel special through the day.

Dewey makes a Christmas list with lots of fun “stuff,” but he learns it is just as important to give as it is to get at Christmas time.

Treasures are expensive, but you are valuable

That’s me, Dewey. Well, I’m the little blue dragon. The green dragon is my dad. I call him Papa. And that’s his treasure we are guarding. I don’t yet have my own treasure to guard, but I hope that changes soon!

You won’t want to miss “The Valuable Dragon” which is a story about my adventures searching for my own treasure.

Very cute story that teaches kids (and parents) the value of a person’s worth over material things. A lesson that needs to be taught early in life and reinforced through action. The illustrations are extremely well done and it’s going to be easy for children to fall in love with Dewey the Dragon! I look forward to more books in the series so we can continue to find creative ways to teach kids what’s important in life.

Uncle Charlie Bancroft

I first purchased this as a Kindle edition and read it to my grandchildren. We really enjoyed the parent questions in the back. It was a great way to converse a little bit more about the story. They loved the adventure of Dewey, so I purchased a book for each of them as well as a coloring book. The illustrations are done really well and are nice and colorful. We can’t wait for the next Dewey adventure to come out!

Deb Mack

This is an awesome book for kids. The pictures are stunning and draw the user into the story. The story itself has all the elements of a great children’s book – an easy to follow story, suspense, relationship and, of course, dragons.
Even more importantly though, this book reminds children that they are more valuable than anything else on this planet. As parents, most of us feel that way, but it’s easy in the hustle and bustle of everyday life to forget that kids need to hear it. It’s easy to assume that they know how important they are too us and never even realize how desperately they need to hear.
